Overview
Planera is a Shopify app that schedules and applies collection rule changes inside your Shopify admin. We integrate with Shopify’s Admin API to perform these updates. We do not collect or store your customers’ personal information.
Information We Access
Shop information: shop domain, store name, email, timezone, plan details.
Collections & rules: collection IDs and titles; collection rule configurations and titles we apply or restore.
Operational data: execution logs (what was applied/removed and when), status badges, and scheduling metadata (e.g.,
next_run_at).Billing metadata: subscription and charge IDs managed via Shopify Billing.
Notifications: optional notification email address you provide in settings.
Customer data: Planera does not ingest customer PII and is not intended to process it.
How We Use Information
To operate core functionality: schedule, apply, and restore collection rules (including optional title updates).
To show execution history and summaries for troubleshooting and auditability.
To send email notifications/digests if you enable them.
To manage subscriptions and charges through Shopify Billing.
To secure the app (authentication, fraud prevention, rate limiting, and abuse detection).
Legal Basis (GDPR)
When applicable, our legal bases include performance of a contract (providing the app you installed) and legitimate interests (operating, improving, and securing Planera). As a merchant, you act as the data controller for your store data; Planera acts as a processor for the limited shop/collection data it handles.
Data Retention
Execution logs are retained for a limited period (default 30 days) and then automatically deleted.
Upon uninstall, Planera deletes store-related data (rules, logs, sessions, shop records) without undue delay, retaining only billing records required for legal/accounting purposes.
Data Sharing & Transfers
We do not sell your data.
We share data only with Shopify’s APIs as required to deliver functionality, and with essential sub-processors (e.g., email delivery, hosting) bound by confidentiality and data protection terms.
Security
We use HTTPS, API authentication (including JWT where applicable), and industry-standard safeguards. Access to production systems is restricted and logged.
Your Choices & Rights
You can disable notifications or adjust settings at any time.
Uninstalling Planera removes our access to your store and triggers data deletion as described above.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your app-related data by emailing us.
Shopify GDPR Webhooks
Planera supports Shopify’s GDPR webhooks (app/uninstalled, shop redact, customers redact, customers data_request). Because Planera does not store customer PII, customer redact/data requests typically return no stored customer data.
Cookies
Planera does not place tracking cookies on your storefront. Within your Shopify admin, session and browser storage may be used as needed to provide functionality; Shopify may also set cookies pursuant to its own policies.
International Users
If you access Planera from outside the hosting country of our infrastructure, your information may be transferred internationally. We implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers where required.
