Connect Planera to ChatGPT

Connect Planera with a private Agent token to inspect your Shopify collections and preview supported merchandising changes from ChatGPT.

The connector URL is:

https://planera-connect.ramiapps.com/mcp

Before you start

You need a Shopify store with Planera installed, access to Agent Access inside Planera, and a ChatGPT plan or workspace that supports custom MCP connectors.

Create an Agent token

1. Open Planera in Shopify.
2. Go to Agent Access.
3. Create an Agent token.
4. Choose its permissions.
5. Copy the token beginning with plna_.

Keep the token private. Revoke it in Planera whenever access is no longer needed.

Add the connector in ChatGPT

1. Open connectors or custom MCP apps in ChatGPT.
2. Create a new connector using https://planera-connect.ramiapps.com/mcp.
3. Choose OAuth authentication when asked.
4. Paste your Planera Agent token on the Planera connection page.
5. Finish the connection flow in ChatGPT.

Verify the connection

Start with a read request:

Use Planera to show my store context and summarize what you can help with.

Then ask Planera to find a collection and explain its population rules, Advanced Sort, and campaigns.

Approval and safety

The Agent token controls available permissions. Read requests return directly. Supported write actions use a preview first so you can inspect the proposed change before approval.

Troubleshooting

• Confirm the server URL exactly matches the URL above.
• Create a fresh Agent token if the previous token was revoked or lost.
• Check that the token includes the permission needed for the request.
• Recreate the ChatGPT connector after changing connection settings.
